Nowadays, new markets and innovative trends in this sector and in the global market force companies to adopt measures that keep them in competitive positions. To achieve this, the use and implementation of new and advanced technologies is essential, even if this means a significant financial investment. Therefore, being aware of the calendar of aid and subsidies for the creation and modernization of companies is of vital importance . Now, SMEs and self-employed workers will have a program that will encourage the development of solutions for their company. Starting on May 18 and running until June 8, 2016, in Spain, they will be able to submit their applications for the first call for the Get on the Cloud initiative , a program to encourage demand for cloud computing solutions for SMEs and self-employed workers.

The assistance provided by Súbete a la nube serves to implement cloud solutions in the beneficiary organizations, which are currently essential in any economic activity in the environment in which they operate, allowing them to optimize their performance and achieve the results they need through these tools, these are: User position, Economic management , Administrative business management , Customer relationship management (CRM), Point of sale management (POS, Point of Sales), Electronic commerce (ecommerce), Infrastructure as a service (IaaS, Infrastructure as a Service), Development platform as a service (PaaS, Platform as a Service) and Virtual switchboard.

The grant or aid for SMEs and self-employed workers ranges from 625 euros to 15,000 euros, from more than 300 products from 100 different approved suppliers. This programme of the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism, managed by Red.es, has a total budget of 40 million euros and is financed through the European Regional french mobile numbers Development Fund (ERDF).

This initiative was presented to the State Secretariat for Telecommunications and the Information Society through Red.es under the name “Get on the cloud” and associated with the Program to promote demand for cloud computing solutions for small and medium-sized businesses. A good number of representatives from the sector and from the different autonomous communities learned first-hand all the details of the call and the dissemination tools that the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism makes available to inform the beneficiaries.

The central point of the campaign is the portal which, in addition to gathering all the information related to the aid program , also explains in a dynamic way the advantages of the cloud through 10 solutions that can be implemented in any business. These solutions are also transversal to all economic activity: user station, economic management, business management, customer relations, point of sale management, electronic commerce, infrastructure as a service, development platform as a service and virtual switchboard.

The aim of the programme is to offer SMEs that are already independent aid of between €625 and €15,000 for the adoption of technological solutions.
SMEs and self-employed persons with fewer than 250 employees and a turnover of less than €50M, tax domicile in Spain and who have started their activity before the publication of the bases can benefit.
