Tap "Delete Synced Contacts" and confirm

Open Telegram.
Go to Settings.
Tap on Privacy and Security.
Scroll down to the "Contacts" section.
Ensure "Sync Contacts" is ON (toggle is typically blue or green).
"Delete Synced Contacts" and Resync:
Sometimes, old or corrupted sync data can telegram number database cause issues. Forcing a fresh sync can help.

Go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Contacts.
Toggle "Sync Contacts" OFF.

Now, toggle "Sync Contacts" back ON. This should prompt Telegram to re-upload and re-sync your contacts.
Check "Who can find me by my number?" Privacy Setting:
While this doesn't prevent your contacts from showing up, if their settings are too restrictive, you might see their number instead of their name, or not be able to find them easily if they are not in your phone's address book.

Go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Phone Number.
Make sure "Who can find me by my number?" is set to Everybody or My Contacts if you expect people who have your number to find you. (Note: This is about their ability to find you, not your ability to see them).
Phase 3: Advanced Troubleshooting
Clear Telegram Cache:
Corrupted cache data can sometimes lead to display issues.

On Android:
Go to your phone's Settings > Apps > Telegram > Storage.
Tap "Clear Cache". (Avoid "Clear Data" unless you want to log out and start fresh, as it will delete all local data).
