How does acquiring work?

Post by sadiksojib35 »

Since the POS terminal or payment gateway generates a receipt, which is not a fiscal document, you need to “knock out” the same amount at the cash register and issue the buyer a paper or electronic cash receipt. As a rule, the cash receipt is generated automatically, immediately after receiving confirmation of successful payment by card. In Internet acquiring, the cash receipt is sent to the payer by e-mail or a link to the receipt in an SMS message.

A business can also install a terminal that combines the functions of a payment terminal and a cash register. Such a device issues a fiscal check along with a receipt.

Acquiring is the process of making merchant benin whatsapp phone number payments. It involves a company selling goods or services, an acquiring bank or fintech company that processes business payments, and an issuing bank where the buyer's account is opened for payment by card, QR code or e-wallet.

In offline businesses, to connect acquiring, it is necessary to install a payment terminal. Clients will apply cards to it or scan QR codes.

If a customer makes a purchase online, they enter their bank card details and optionally their name, contact information, and into a special payment form — a ready-made interface with built-in payment options. You can also choose a payment method using a QR code. In this case, the card number is not entered, but you either need to scan the QR code or enter the phone number and select the bank where the payer has an account.

In addition, the buyer can use an electronic wallet to pay for the order. Its difference from a bank account to which a bank card is issued, for example, is that it is easier to open a wallet and, as a rule, this can be done without visiting a branch with simplified identification of the wallet owner. The wallet is opened after providing data (full name, passport number, SNILS or INN) and passing simplified identification through the Interdepartmental Electronic Interaction System (SMEV, with confirmation by SMS) or the Unified Identification and Authentication System (through State Services).

The limit of operations on the wallet is set at up to 60 thousand rubles. However, wallets have significant restrictions on the amounts of receipts and write-offs, unlike traditional bank accounts.

To make it even more convenient for the customer, the seller can create a payment link and send it by e-mail, messengers or SMS if the user is unable to pay on the seller's website.

Once confirmation from the issuing bank is received, funds are debited from the client's account and credited to the seller's account.

Thus, cashless payment for goods and services is carried out by transferring payment information from the terminal or the seller's website to the acquiring bank or fintech company (payment aggregator), which processes and forwards them to the issuing bank for authorization. They also credit the acquiring revenue, i.e. the actual transfer of funds to the seller.
