The visit session was the pivot on which all tracking of Universal Analytics (and previous versions) revolved. With GA4, however, the visit session disappears. On the other hand, event tracking becomes widespread. However, let's clarify what we mean by events. Events are all the actions that users perform on the website: clicks, scrolls, stays, video playback, downloads, filling out a form... EVERYTHING. The events, of course, are nothing new. Even in UA it was possible to track events on the site, as long as you were able to get your hands on the code.

With Google Analytics 4, however, events take on a tunisia phone data centrality never seen before. Why? Simply because Google has realized that tracking and evaluating visit sessions has become increasingly difficult, mainly due to the blocking of cookies and adblocks. Do you know what can't be hidden? Bingo. Actions performed on the site. the new golden standard for understanding how users interface with your pages. It's called user engagement.

And yes, it is indeed a metric that measures the quality of the user experience. Standard classification of events As I already told you, with Universal Analytics you could already measure events, i.e. the actions performed by users on your web pages. The fact is that you could manage and classify them as you liked. With Google Analytics 4, however, the categories become standardized. Well, you'll tell me, Google is making our work easier.
